Position Description

Background information:
This position is part of the Oracle PeopleSoft ERP team that supports multiple PeopleSoft systems for different UN Organizations. It has members spread across various locations (Geneva, New York, Nearshore, Offshore) to provide the necessary support in the different time zones
Main duties and responsibilities:
The candidate will provide support during Geneva business hours (09:00 CET to 18:00 CET), irrespective of the location.
Service Management:
- Monitor, prioritize and take ownership of tasks assigned to the Oracle PeopleSoft team ensuring completion within SLA targets. This includes service requests, change requests, incidents, project tasks and others as required
Technical Support:
• Provide support for all Oracle PeopleSoft Hosting SDAs
• Interact with customers when and as required per the supervisor
- Design, install, configure and support Oracle PeopleSoft infrastructure
- Perform PeopleSoft system administration including: installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting for PeopleTools (Application Server, Web Server, Process Scheduler, Integration Broker, Elasticsearch, etc.)Perform Oracle PeopleSoft environment clones
- As per supervisor’s requirement, provide on-call support (remotely using VPN connectivity) outside normal working hours as required on a rotational basis
- Perform other Oracle PeopleSoft administration tasks as required by the current projects, such as:
o Co-ordinate with Oracle Support for resolution of problems and incidents
o Apply Oracle PeopleSoft patches and perform PeopleTools and
application upgrades
o Provide pro-active performance monitoring and capacity planning for
future applications
o Apply security patches for all Peoplesoft components on a regular basis
o Assist in the planning and running of disaster recovery testso Produce documentation as required
o Perform support activities during planned maintenance windows outside of normal working hours
Recruitment Profile
Experience and Skills required:
Essential:
- At least five (5) years of experience in the IT sector
- Proven Oracle PeopleSoft administration experience, including knowledge and support experience of:
- Oracle PeopleSoft PIA
- WebLogic
- Tuxedo
- Integration Broker
- Elasticsearch
- PeopleSoft Upgrade Manager (PUM)
- SQL
- Experience and knowledge of working with Oracle database and basic understanding of related technologies like:
- Automated Storage Management
- Real Application Clusters
- DataGuard
- Flashback
- Recovery Manager
- Good scripting skills using Linux shell, Oracle SQL and/or other automation tools
Desirable:
- Experience in automation
Education:
Essential:
- First university degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related
Desirable:
- Advanced university degree with focus on Information Technology

Compensation:
Fee will be based either on the National Officer salary scales or the Individual Consultancy band levels (for Headquarters)
