Position Description

Purpose of the Position:

The purpose of this position is to provide HR support to the Talent Management Unit, in the field of Workforce Planning, Talent Management initiatives and HR data analytics and reporting.

Objectives of the Programme:

UNICC provides the digital foundations that support the digital transformation and future of the UN system and other international organizations.

Main duties and responsibilities:

The incumbent will work under the direct supervision and guidance of the Head of Talent Management, and in close collaboration with the HR Operations. It will support the Head of Talent in implementing the workforce planning, reporting and data analytics pillar of the talent and broader HR strategy. This includes the following areas:

Position Management:

  • Maintain up to date organizational charts, reflecting changes occurring as a result of recruitments, reorganisations and following the overall expansion of the organization
  • Provide support and liaise with managers on the development of post descriptions reflecting new needs or changes happening in their area of responsibility
  • Coordinate the HR internal Post Description workflow, between Workforce planning, HR Ops and the selection team

Talent management:

  • Participate in the development of key HR dimensions in the Talent management team, i.e. skills mapping tool, diversity initiatives, etc
  • Support the implementation and roll out of HR projects linked to learning and development, talent acquisition and workforce planning
  • Support the selection team in Talent outreach activities including representing the organisation in internship or young talent fairs
  • Support selection processes as an HR representative in interview panels

HR Analytics and Reporting:

  • Run monthly and yearly HR reports and statistics related to the workforce and HR processes
  • Develop HR Spreadsheets, reports, dashboards, and monitoring tools for talent management capturing HR trends
  • Provide data for HR reports requested by external parties, including WHO, UNOG or other UNICC stakeholders
  • Provide and communicate analysis of staff survey results Develop HR data visualization templates

Process mapping:

  • Undertake a process mapping exercise for all talent processes
  • Reflect division of responsibilities for all process maps
  • Provide improvement feedback and simplification suggestions for all process maps
  • Maintain process maps up to date
  • Other: Provide other ad hoc support either within your team or in other teams as required – this includes the participation in special projects or support to service delivery for short period of time on a part-time or full-time basis upon request from the senior management

Recruitment Profile

Experience and Skills required:

Essential:

  • A minimum of one year experience in the field of Human Resources
  • Experience in HR reporting and HR data analytics
  • Very good command of Microsoft IT tools
  • Knowledge of Power BI or similar visualization tools
  • Experience implementing good practices for HR
  • Ability to gather, analyse and understand HR data and offer recommendations to improve practices and processes
  • Customer‐centric approach to delivery and problem solving
  • Ability to interact with people from varied background and geographical diversity, and to engage with colleagues across the organization at all levels
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team player
  • Proactive approach to work and ability to think out of the box

Desirable:

  • Work experience at the international level
  • Experience with remote and virtual teams
  • Knowledge of HR surveying and analytical tools

*Education:

Essential:

  •  University degree in Human resources, Business administration, Data analytics or related field

Desirable:

  • Certification in HR management or HR data analytics

Languages:

  • English: Expert knowledge is required
  • Knowledge of another UN official language would be an advantage

Compensation:

Annual Salary Estimation (net of tax at single rate):

  • Valencia, (Spain) including post adjustment (36,7% on October 2024): US$ 53,861
