Recruitment Profile
Purpose of the position:
UNICC is looking for interns with a strong interest in cybersecurity, to learn more and support in on-going and new Cybersecurity and/or Business Continuity projects.
Organizational setting and reporting:
The interns will work in a hybrid working modality, for five days a week, under the supervision of the Section Heads of Cyber Security.
Responsibilities could include:
The interns will be given the opportunity to work in various Cybersecurity and Business Continuity Management Systems (BCMS) projects, under the mentorship of highly qualified cybersecurity specialists, to gain experience and knowledge in this area and will also support with:
- Building documents, templates, and presentations in collaboration with the technical teams
- Delivery of Cybersecurity services in the areas of cybersecurity operations, governance, architecture, identity and access, or business continuity
- Document review, training, testing and resilience exercises
- Application development projects, as necessary

Education:
To qualify for this internship, applicants must be currently enrolled in a university programme (eg. final year of a Bachelor or Master’s degree or equivalent) with one of the following specializations: Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or similar fields or must have graduated in the last 6 months.
Work Experience:
Applicants are not required to have professional work experience to participate in UNICC’s internships programme, but it would be desirable that applicants have an understanding of cybersecurity or business continuity principles.
Language:
- Fluency in English is required (verbal and written)
- Knowledge of another official UN language is a plus
