He is the author of the best-selling business book called Leap: How to Thrive in a World Where Everything Can Be Copied (Public Affairs, 2018).

Many of the technological and social trends in motion today will have a great impact over the next 30 years. In this session with Professor Howard Yu, we’ll examine some of the coming changes in our lives -from virtual reality in the home and an on-demand economy, to the embedding of artificial intelligence in many areas of professional and personal life- and how these can be understood as the result of a few long-term, accelerating forces. These larger forces will transform the way we work, interact, learn and communicate.

Professor Yu will explore “the inevitable,” and consider how and international organisations like the United Nations must lead differently across many areas, be it digital services, new operating models, new talent acquisition, or new ways to innovate.
