Recruitment Profile
Purpose of the position:
As an AI Hub Engagement Intern, you will assist in the planning and execution of events, and help build and manage communication platforms and digital communities to drive awareness and engagement. This position requires someone who is organized and eager to make an impact in the AI and technology space
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of events related to the AI Hub, including workshops, webinars, panel discussions, and other community-building activities
- Engagement Channel Development: Help set up and maintain engagement platforms such as digital communities, email newsletters, and internal communications channels to increase visibility and collaboration for the AI Hub
- In coordination with the Communications Team, support the creation of social media posts, newsletters, and other content to promote events, news, and updates related to the AI Hub
- Community Management: Engage with stakeholders, respond to inquiries, and promote interaction and dialogue to foster a dynamic digital community around the AI Hub
- Reporting: Assist with gathering and analyzing engagement metrics and feedback to continuously improve outreach strategies.

Requirements – Education:
- To qualify for this internship, applicants must be currently enrolled in a University programme (final year of a Master’s degree or equivalent) specializing in areas that are relevant to UNICC’s line of business such as Marketing, Communications, Technology, International Relations, or STEM related fields
- Knowledge or interest in AI, tech trends, or innovation in the public sector is an advantage
Requirements – Work Experience:
Applicants are not required to have professional work experience to participate in UNICC’s internships programme, but applicants should have the following functional and technical skills:
- Event Coordination Skills: Previous experience (even academic or Marketing or volunteer-based) in organizing events, conferences, or webinars is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, cross-functional environment with team members from diverse backgrounds
- Part-time internship (less than 10/20 hours per week), with flexible scheduling
Language:
- Fluency in English is required (verbal and written)
