Purpose of the Position:

The Cybersecurity Governance administrator will provide support to the Cybersecurity Governance Unit (CSG) and to the Cybersecurity Division related activities.

Objectives of the Programme:

The objective of the Centre is to provide trusted ICT services and digital business solutions to its Clients and Partner Organizations.

Main duties and responsibilities:

The incumbent will provide support to the Security Governance services and to the execution of internal UNICC projects or external projects for UNICC partners. Under the direct supervision of the Head, Cybersecurity Governance Unit (CSG), the incumbent will perform the following duties:

  • Participate in carrying out security risk assessments according to the established methodology, and participate in addressing identified risks. Liaise with business units and stakeholders across UNICC to identify acceptable levels of residual risk. Monitor treatment efforts
  • Contribute to security and resilience maturity assessments for Partner agencies according to the established methodology. Provide support in recommending improvements to the methodology, as required
  • Support the delivery of risk management awareness training programmes for all employees, contractors and approved system users
  • Under guidance, carry out periodic access control reviews as part of the established ISMS and ISAE 3402 procedures
  • Draft, maintain and publish up-to-date information security policies, standards and guidelines. Oversee the approval, training, and dissemination of security policies and practices
  • Take part in vendor risk assurance assessments and track identified risks with service owners
  • Assist with ISO review and audit response
  • Perform other related duties and fulfil responsibilities as required

Recruitment Profile

Experience and Skills required:

Essential:

  • Minimum eight (8) years of experience in Information Technology, including in assisting in the delivery of IT and/or Cybersecurity services
  • Good understanding and practical experience of control frameworks (ITIL, ISO 27001, ISO 20000, etc.) and management systems
  • Good understanding of cloud technologies and related risks
  • Ability to draft qualitative reports
  • Project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects under strict timelines

Desirable:

  • Experience in data analysis and presentation for executive review and decision making

Education:

Essential:

  • Completion of secondary school diploma
  • ITIL v3 Foundation

 Desirable:

  • Any relevant cybersecurity certification (CISSP, CCSP, etc.)

Languages:

  • English: Expert knowledge is required
  • Knowledge of the local language of the Duty Station is an advantage

Eligibility:

This vacancy is open to UNICC staff only.

This position is subject to local recruitment pursuant to staff rule 4.4 of the United Nations Staff Rules. Compensation:

Annual Salary Estimation (net of tax at single rate):

  • Brindisi, Italy: EUR 34,160
  • Valencia, Spain: EUR 44,839
